yeh so it aint 'i'm so special so special so special by Mavado but the techniques used in the film making by the Armenian director are intence.

this is where it gets deep..

Sergei Parajanov's "Color of the Pomegranate", a biography of the Armenian ashug Sayat Nova (King of Song), reveals the poet's life more through his poetry than a conventional narration of important events in Sayat Nova's life. The movie shows the poet growing up, discovering the female forms, falling in love, entering a monastery and dying. But these incidents are depicted in the context of what are images from Sergei Parajanov's imagination and Sayat Nova's poems, poems that are seen and rarely heard. Sofiko Chiaureli plays 6 roles, both male and female, and Sergei Parajanov, works on virtually every aspect of this film, void of any dialog or camera movement.

Browns have made a name for themselves in fashion talent spotting and now the Browns team have taken it a step further by collaborating with an illustration graduate. Beatrice Boyle has just completed a fashion illustration course at London College of Fashion, the same course that myself and the fashion fresh face Keeley Shephard are studying.

Beatrice worked closely with the Browns Focus buyer to create a capsule collection of printed t-shirts, tanks and t-shirt dresses. Having worked at Jas M.B., Boyle decided to go down the route of illustration and painting as opposed to fashion and this collaboration is a perfect synergy of the two.

As of late ive been feeling super 'EMO' (yes that word will come up alot..i love it and it just sum's alot up) just been a bit low on energy and motivation, but thats okay, we all have our moments its only natural.

Now as most of y'all know, working in any creative industry, takes alot of hard work and determination , plus talent that will get you where you want to be, this takes time though.....

Makeup i feel is one of the hardest, you have to assist for years before anyone will take you seriously, regardless of how amazing your portfolio is.

I've been in this game since i was 17, now at 21 iam just starting to get the work ive always wanted, and even then as qualified as i am and as much experiance ive had, iam still at times expected to work for free..........

So my boy Ashley ( who is big in the P.R game) calls me up and tells me hes got a spot of work for me, now coming from big boy Ashley, the first thing that runs though my head is dolla dolla bills y'all..........ERRR NO!!!.......HA!

Ash continues to explain it not paid but fully credited, for an 'new' magazine called ANGLOMANIA.....................what the fuck do i care??

As far as iam concerned, i aint ever heard of this mag, its not paid and full credit backside!!!

......but i love ashley and this is the first time he's asked me to do work, i did not want to be un-appreciative and i had nothing else of great importance to do that day (apart from singing disney classic's with Paul and Mark, but that was later in the evening).

So i'am to call a Miss Cleo Davies, who was incredibly sweet and polite. At this point iam thinking good peoples, why not......Kerrie get ur fucking arse up, sort out the kit and roll with it. Even though every inch of my body was sayin "NO" my head was saying "YES" and i found my self in the most amazing appartment in Embankment overlooking the London Eye.

Everyone from actor's and sportsmen are in and out (iam not going to drop names cuz thats so lame but FUCKING HELL!!! so many amazingly talented people all under the one roof) they were also holding castings for a film project and i felt right in my element.

So i get to work on this beautiful model that reminds me of an Egyptian princess, seriously this girls face was from the past!

Once all the good stuff is done, its time to shoot, which for me means sitting on the sides, waiting to powder, change hair, lip colours and all things makeup!

Within this time i ask Cleo if i could see a previous copy of the mag....and oh my fucking god!

Its a sports, fashion and lifestyle magazine for serious people.

I turn pages and see articles on Nelson Mandela, to the next page which is a spread on Tom Ford, interview and all, then to the next which is a collection of sportsmen decked out in couture! Its the kind of magazine a couple would both love and appreciate, theres no his or hers in the equation. Just a beautiful balance of lifestyle, sports, fashion and even beauty.

Like, seriously i'am really not one of these people passed the age of 20 that get's excited about animation....like students at uni.

Actually....HANG ON!....Lets start again.......

I am not a fan of recent animation.........that big statement before was such a load of crap, myself and Paul only yesterday did the whole soundtrack of 'Beauty and the Beast" and 'Aladin' from his itunes, my boy knows word for word, routein for rouiten . Not to mention the whole of the 'Grease' and 'Chicago' get up.

But yeaa back to animation, i love the old school stuff, growing up as an only child i had alot of time for disney, alot of emotional time mind you.

I remember watching 'The Lion King' and it taking a few times before i could get to the end without crying down the house, forcing my mother to turn if off and to switch to something more light hearted like 'Rosie and Jim' yeaaa them two fuckers on the boat......ha!

Yeaaaa man disney is deeper than you probably know....like yerrr but this blog has been a tad emo already without me goin into that one....another time yeaaa?

So yea really now back to animation, unless its from the past i dont really care for it, soooo whilst chilling with my boy Inka he left me with the option of either playing a stupid play station, watching porn or 'Spirited Away', i decided to be open minded and go against my grain and watch a recent animation( because unless its Tekken 3, again i have no interest, and its not about porn when Inka about he gets excited......LOL)

So im getting into this lil girl........

And honestly the trailer is NOTHING, to how deep and beautiful this tale is.

Was the most uplifting, metaphoric piece of film ive seen in a LONG time!

Again id encourage you to watch for yourself, make up your own mind.

....but i cant imagine anyone not appreciating this one, unless your made of stone, the underlining meaning in it all, amoungst the many others, is that LOVE CONQURES ALL!

I brought Miss G along for the ride!!!! about time we caught up properly.........

After the first 10 mins, i was like..."Oh god, not another production about black people and some of the issues we face, done in typical clique form......oh god here we go"......... as i hear old skool garage in he back ground and listen to the cast with all the 'you get me doh init' and 'narr blad, man dont roll like that'.....i look around and realise iam actually in Slone square and iam actually surrounded by all the 'locals' who iam assuming have only seen this stero typical view of young black people...and in my head iam like NO NO NO NO STOP.......

....but then, the plot thickens! and i was amazed!!!!!

Quite surreal that there was a big knife crime scene, that made me cry!!!!!

Every issue imaginable was brought up...........

So, i get a call this week.....

"Kerrie, its your Antie Claudette, your cousin Renea has been repeatedly stabbed ....."

From that point, i did not register much else.

My cousin is a 19 yr old boy, in the wrong place, at the wrong time, but the Gods where with him.He survived, without being crippled, paralized or any of the other possible risk's of being knifed, apart from the obvious being death.

A blessed young man, if u take into account that his kidney was punctured in the attack!

Attacked by fithteen boys all aged 13-19.

ITS DISGUSTING.....but ive been here before..............

Whilst training at Hammersmith College doing all my performing arts a few years back,

i made a very unlikely friendship with a girl called Ruth.

Now when you first clapped eyes on Ruth, your first impressions where most probably "who's that boy"???.

Ruth was the biggest tomboy to be brought into this earth, forget anything you've ever imagined before, Ruth was a boy trapped in a girls body!

She was so intriguing and un-usual, serious and deep!

Nobody could understand the friendship, which made it even more exciting.

In the common room, i'd be going over dance step's with the girls and she would be playin cards for cash with the boys, but then we'd come together and have the most interesting conversations about the most random things, conversations i dont think she would be able to have with anyone else.

In the holidays our friendship grew, in such a weird way, over the phone.

We'd sit and chat for hours about nothing and sometimes about everything.

I'd never really hang out with Ruth as we where into different things, i didnt want to hang with her 'boys' and start fights and act bad, and she didnt want to hang with me and my girls, shopping and lunching!! Apart from the two times id pay her a visit, we'd sit up all night and make up lyrics, smoke weed and laugh uncontrollably.

So we had this amazing phone friendship that got pretty addictive and intense!

Untill i had enough..........

I had, had enough of the side to her she never showed me, the side i dont think was really her, but was becoming stronger everyday, the time off college wasnt a good for her!

Our wonderful conversations turned into me giving constant lectures and telling off's!

She was becoming uncontrollable with the anger and aggression!

She no longer told me of her dreams and thoughts, she now told me tales of the "roads"....

I couldnt handle much more of it......her energy was starting to rub off.

I distanced my self, as my attempts to help change her was not making any difference.

It started to affect our bond, we no longer spoke, we argued!!

I thought, id give her the time to do all the things she felt she needed to, and hoped she'd come back to college on a steady vibe, more like the Ruth i knew....what i know to be the REAL PERSON inside!

So i stopped answering her calls, ill never forget there was a time she gave me seven missed calls...........

It was nearly two weeks until college was starting back, and i was looking forward to Ruth most of all, id missed her and couldnt wait to see how she was getting on!

It was in those two weeks, i woke up one morning to a text which stated that Ruth had been stabbed to death by a gang of boys aged 13-17.

It broke my heart, i will never stop feeling the guilt of the space i had created between us!

Maybe she was reaching out?

Maybe she needed my help?

I will never know now.......................

We all know this has to be stopped, but how?

I dont see it possible, you cant change mass mentality, a generation that want to fight to the death.

Arggghh i could go on, but thinking of the what could have been with my cousin and the reality of what happened to Ruth could actually drive me insane!

What is happening to us?

Whether were killing each other on our doorsteps or out in Iraq.......

we are KILLING!!!!!

being really honest, its just for my own selfish reasons, i think it be great to look back on this stuff in 8 years and be like "oh yea i remember that" & "and god yea this that blah blah"

So today i was treated to a wonderful slap up meal and amazing seats at the Shaftesbury Theatre to see Hairspray!

To which, at first i was slightly skeptical about seen as a child i was obsessed with the original,(no really, like maybe 8 times a day....ONLY CHILD SYNDROME) and nothing beats an original...... NOT EVER....LIKE NEVER!

So par-taking in her live shows is like an orgasmic rush of musical pleasure, cowbells an all, that turns me into a schizophrenic, multi-coloured, dancing , screaming, fairy with a mic!

Lovebox was a major highlight for me personally.....the crowd, the sun, the stage, the sound man and cowbell made it my most enjoyable performance!

I had the ultimate pleasure of working with Juergen yesterday.

There was a semi naked model, a motorbike, new seasons Luis Vuitton, mass amounts of eyeliner and body shimmer, not to mention some beautiful pieces of lingerie from Mui Mui, Prada and various others.
